About Water and Education Care International
We are a mission-oriented organization empowering disadvantaged communities through education and water infrastructure development
WE BELIEVE EVERY PERSON DESERVES THE CHOICE TO LIVE WITH DIGNITY NOT DEPENDENCE
Water and Education Care International was formed as a not-for-profit organization in 2017 in order to expand the scope of work started in 2004 by founder, Jon Steiner. Student support and community water project are now concentrated in and around Mahero village in Western Kenya.
" Each educated individual will touch the lives of many others. Since my retirement from teaching, I have been fortunate to assist students in Mali, Cambodia, Laos, and Kenya to achieve their dreams. While spending time with students and families in rural Kenya, I have observed another desperate need: access to clean drinking water. The goal of WE Care International is to address these two basic human needs."
- Jon. S
The founder has been involved since 2004 supporting students in developing countries. He incorporated We Care International in 2016 and the organization has helped over 30 students at all levels of education. Providing safe drinking water access is our priority. In spite of limited resources, Jon leads the organization to restore a water system, community well, and water storage that benefits a local village in many ways.
